BLOW MOULDING

This is the manufacturing process used in-house to produce plastic bottles. Our machines are capable of manufacturing bottles with volumes ranging from 20ml to 4L. We have a range of stock moulds available for you to choose from, or you can use your own custom moulds. If you require a custom mould we can guide you through the process to ensure that you achieve the outcome that best meets your needs.  Bottles manufactured on-site are made with Polyethylene in either high or low density. All materials used are food grade approved and certified and are recyclable.

· High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

HDPE is a rigid plastic with a high strength to density ratio, making it resistant to breakage and a popular choice for bottles. The surface appearance of HDPE is a matte waxy look, and it is hard to semi flexible to the touch. HDPE can with stand temperatures of up to 75oC without softening and -75oC without becoming brittle. HDPE is moisture proof, making it ideal for storing liquids. In addition, it is generally resistant to chemicals and unaffected by most food acids and household solvents.

· Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)

LDPE has many of the same general properties as HDPE, however due to its lower density is softer and more flexible, resulting in bottles being more squeezable, slightly more translucent, and easier to scratch. LDPE is moisture proof and able to resist most chemicals with good impact strength. LDPE can withstand low temperatures, maintaining its strength and flexibility at sub-zero temperatures, however it cannot endure high temperatures, and will start softening at 70oC.
