Screen Printing

Screen Printing

This is a decoration method used by Flexicon Plastics to print bottles and pots on-site. We have single and multi-stationed automatic screen printing machines available which enables us to print a variety of plastic bottles and pots. Minimum print runs start at 3000 units.

With screen printing, stencils are used to create a negative image of the desired artwork on to screens. Ink is then forced through the openings of the screen to produce a thick and even print onto the bottle/pot surface. Because of this stencilling techinique, each colour printed requires a separate screen of its own, printing one colour per pass and layering prints until the desired outcome is achieved.

This technique renders screen printing particularly economical for one to two colour decoration prints. Costs still remain managable up to six colour prints, but any more than that and it becomes too costly to print and is therefore inadvisable. Size and lettering restrictions also apply.
